Bridget Moran, LMSW, CAADC

I chose to work in this field because I believe in the transformative power of connection with others. The therapeutic relationship forms the basis of the process that allows change to occur. I strive to develop a trusting, collaborative, and unique relationship with each of my clients. Paramount to this is highlighting your strengths and helping you identify goals to help you live a fulfilling life. Deciding to enter therapy is not always easy, even when you recognize a need for change. However, based on my own experiences with therapy, I can personally say that it has played a positive, transformative role in shaping how I view myself and others, as well as how I deal with the challenges of life.

I work with teens, adults, and older adults on a variety of issues ranging from depression and anxiety, PTSD, and personality disorders.I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Northern Michigan University, graduating in 2021. I have worked with individuals in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric units, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse rehabilitation, and outpatient therapy. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy informed approach. I firmly believe that being a therapist entails ongoing education and plan to learn more approaches, including Internal Family Systems and Somatic Therapies. Special areas of interest for me include grief, substance abuse, and trauma.

I was born and raised in the Marquette area. Family is extremely important to me. In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach, spending time with my cats and dogs, hiking, and planning trips. I have a love of exploration and new experiences. Being open-minded is one of my core values.

Nothing is impossible, the word itself says, “I’m possible.
