Sarah Bruce, LMSW

Sarah (she/her) is a licensed clinical social worker (LMSW) with 10 years of experience providing individual, group and family counseling to individuals ages 4 and up.. She earned her Masters degree in clinical social work from the University of New England.

Sarah has extensive experience treating family conflict, traumatic stress, anxiety, depression, adolescent substance use, and life transitions. She has specific interest in religious trauma and utilizing sensory interventions in treating complex trauma. 

Sarah is a lover of all things active and brings this love into her therapy practice. She utilizes movement, play, art, and creative writing in conjunction with evidence-based treatment modalities to create a therapeutic space where clients can feel safe enough to challenge themselves and step outside their comfort zones.  Sarah is certified in Sensory Motor Arousal Treatment (SMART) for complex trauma, the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA) for teen substance use and high risk behavior, and the CAMS-Care suicide prevention model. Additionally, Sarah has experience providing CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, and child-centered play therapy.

Sarah moved to the UP from Rhode Island in 2022 with her husband and Australian Cattle Dog, Roo. Sarah’s favorite activities include hiking, downhill skiing, reading, paddleboarding, baking, and yoga.
